Can I have a fixed day off, of my choosing?

In order for employers to effectively manage rotas, Resident Doctors will need to negotiate with the employing Trust what day/s they do not work. However, when they rotate to a new Trust, these arrangements will have to be discussed and renegotiated with the new Trust, and it may sometimes be the case that the arrangements have to change in a new rotation. Resident Doctors should be encouraged to make these arrangements with as much notice as possible.
