| Successful application to LTFT training has financial, training, and leave entitlement implications which RDs should consider when applying. The salary will be reduced in line with the percentage of hours worked.
Timing to progression to Specialty can also be affected. FRDs working LTFT will have their expected CCT date recalculated. This often means that unless, exceptional circumstances apply, they will no longer finish training at the same time as their peers and will be out of sync in applications for Specialty Training.
If you decide to return to Full time working, your allocations will change if you were previously in a slot share.
Leave entitlement will be reduced in line with the percentage of hours worked. This applies also to study leave entitlement and bank holidays.
